Waz, I think I have read somewhere that those seat units were made by someone in Japan. Never seen one in real life myself or for sale either.

It is a rare Japanese seat unit from a company called Motoco or Motorco. They were very expensive new and are no longer available new. Depending on it's condition it is probably a good buy. I lusted after one for years but the loss of my top box no longer makes it a viable option.
Regards Martin.

It is a very comfortable seat with a useful amount of storage. Very well made and probably off a Japanese import.

I have one plus a standard seat and find it easy to swap between the two in about twenty minutes. It uses all the same mounting points.
