Mate, we all know it'd sell for $13.98 in the frozen North, but after all the friendly haranguing about prices for bikes in the US & Canada as compared to OZ & NZ, yep, for the price, and if it sells for the approx. $2500.00 the seller is asking, someone might just get a good deal.

This bike would sell for about $3,000. This is only because the mileage is a bit 'high'
Here is an example of a what people are asking in Canada:k100lt in Quebec
1987, 90k km, very well maintained new tires, new battery, rebuilt front and rear brakes, new air filter all the oil has been changed.
This one is well priced for 2 reasons: this is the beginning of the winter (In Quebec people cannot ride between Dec. 15 and March 15 -This is the law), and the motorcycle market is in decline as the province is over taxing bikes. The site where this K100lt is advertised offers 8,000 bikes for sale

And the hits keep coming.

See how much older the bikes are and yet how much more people expect for these things here! Avenger's example is a newer K1100, 80K on the odo (I assume miles), and a thousand Euros is about AU$1362.00 right now. We weep and fall to our knees.

At the moment someone in Belfast is selling on Gumtree, two 1986 K100RT's for £350(about $550). One with a damaged fairing. Both are being sold as seen. Seen worse looking on ebay for twice that each!
If I only had the room.

Are there any members of the forum that are millionaires?

If there are, can you please buy these bikes for us and store them in a warehouse in each country so we can use them for spares?

This is exactly what we did with my brother and few friends.
Each one spent about $300 and we bought 2 wrecks + tons of other parts. Now we have spare when needed. The rule is if somebody take a part, he will try to replace it when one is available at a reasonable price (Fleabay) and put it back in the stock.
No need to be a millionaire, you simply need to know a couple of riders that you trust.

In the end that 'good deal' on eBay near Sydney sold for AU$2600! Perhaps we'll have ourselves a new member as he or she finds their way round a new machine.

Under the 'flogging a dead horse' department, I was just perusing a few sites for some of the latest K100RS' to go on the block, here's what I've found. Read 'em and weep (over the prices!).
