Hello from Connecticut 4444ce10
Hello Everyone,

I just bought my first BMW, a 1994 K75RT which has sat outside for years, been knocked over a few times and snapped off the fairing mounts, broken some fairing pieces and the brake pads had rusted seizing the front tire in place. It was only $500, so I have a little cushion to make her right again. The starter had failed, disassembling it and cleaning out all the loose carbon and freshening the commutator made it roar to life. I found about a gallon of water in the fuel tank, now I have to get some replacement fuel hose and the vibration dampener etc. I look forward to making her street legal again.

Thanks,

Alex

Edit: Apparently I can add photos

Welcome! Good luck with the restoration. Many here have been down that road and can be a lot of help. Don't hesitate asking your questions.

Welkome to the forum. The Mighty K75, a sweet revving, nimble motorbike, and arguably the best bike BMW ever made. I enjoyed mine. But I never argued about it.

If there was water in the tank then the vibration 'dampener' was only trying to do its job.
