Hi again 
we are struggling to find original tank and tail end decals. BMW uk have been really nice but still haven't been able to help. The original decals were taken off prior to paint and sadly were chucked away before we could ask for them. They were an off white (more orangey) and my other half is beside himself as its for the 83 k100 and he wants to keep things as close to factory as he can

Is there any kind soul out there that has some sat on a dusty shelf, that he could relieve you of, at his expense, naturally or are they as rare as rocking horse droppings as he says they are

I'm pretty sure that they were white when they came from the factory and turned orangy over time.

Thanks for that... promptly ordered today. saving over 50 quid as BMW got back to us this morning quoting over 60 nicker... My other half is well chuffed. He says that i have to post a pic once she is up and running

Thats a shame as the off white looked somewhat cool and funky Very Happy

You could always put a few thick layers of lacquer on them and let the sun do the rest - or, in the absence of sufficient sun to turn them off colour, I am sure that there are some antique look lacquers out there that would give the instant aged look to the bright shiny roundels...
