A few of us have been preparing bikes for a charity trip in aid of Help for Heros and will be setting off to the South of France on the 25th of this month.
I know of at least 3 K100's going, all older than 1990 and I've seen posts from the other guys as well as myself who the forum have helped out getting them ready. Noted you got Archie out of trouble today, thanks to all for helping.
I have been attempting to get a bunch of spares together as a backup for the trip. Managed to pickup spare injectors and cpu cheap from ebay, but would love to have other spares available. Motobins have offered on a sale or return basis a used water/oil pump assembly but did not have a fuel pump that I think would be good to have.
Can anyone help with anything. I'd be very willing to pay a refundable deposit or hire charge for any parts loaned.

Where are you sailing from / to, i ask only because I and 3 others are travelling to france on 25th by ferry portsmouth / caen on the overnight ferry. there will be 2 old k's amongst us. The best tool to take is carol nashes phone number, they do european breakdown & recovery at a decentprice if you havent already got it. I have done several 2.5 / 3k trips on mine and so far touch wood no major let downs, also always found the french to be helpfull if they can be and point u in the direction of assistance. we are only going in as far as flers - approx 60 miles from caen , but if you need a spark plug or allen key on your way back i'd be happy to help, we return on monday from St malo to portsmouth (hopefully) good luck with fund raising.

@ the person behind MGM; pity you posted it here (I read these very irregular) and not in the same area as Archie, as I could have helped you out. Understand all bikes did well; what a success for the K's. I hope to read about your story here sometime.

I should have trusted the old girl more as both Archie and I had no problems during the trip. Both K's ran without a hitch, only problem now is I told the wife I'd sell her on my return, but no chance as I get the impression there's another 100K in the engine. Currently making her more presentable (the bike). As for storys, if this was a CB750 forum, I'd have plenty, ranging from blown fork seals, engine problems, and siezed rear shock, but the K's ran like sewing machines all the way there and back and would set off again tomorrow with no worries.
