Thanks so much for the "sympathy" Bert. Only part of this I need it for though is that the "wall" escaped unscathed. I didn't even get a porkchop. The bike did pretty well. Replaced the valve cover & tweaked the taill back to straight. I still have to patch up the glass.
one positive is that I left the side farings off after the tweak and find the heat levels to be pretty normal on my legs even on 97F days now.
