We have a lot of logging roads and mountains around my part of the world. I wanted my first off road ride on the R100GS to be up the back side of Mount Cheam, about 130 kms return, only 30 of it on the hard stuff, but it was a great shake down run.

You certainly have a nice slice of the world there Clubie. Just makes me even more determined to get the K1100GS on the dirt road.

To quote GITH, it's 'a little bit of all right'...

I am planning a k100GS. With a over size fuel tank and an extended swing arm. It will be too tall for me but I am building it anyway.

Great pics Club C - if only to remind me what a blue sky is!!!! The bike sits well in that screnery and I'm sure looks even grander in the flesh.

Thanks for posting

The Paris\Dakar tank is the biggest one I think...

We've certainly had our share of wet weather here this year. This is the first dry stretch in months. The pics don't do the view justice, but the colors you see there are true to life.

The red one is fairly much what I want to do, I been scouting for a set of upsidedown forks for a while at a price I can afford.
It will actually be an 86 K100RT as that is what the frame ID plate says.

I have an oversized Ray Randolf tank I was planning to use. Also a k100c fairing with the round headlight. I want to extend the swingarm by 3" but can't find anyone to do it yet.

I intend to use the paralever rear end and reposition the shock and use a R100GS shock so I get another 2in of travel maybe even 2 1/2in.
