Most of you know about the meaning of the BMW logo: A propeller on a blue sky background. (Yes BMW was building aircraft engines)

We see corporate logos every day. Did you ever look closely at them? Scroll down and be surprised.

Do you see the arrow between the “E” and “x” ?? I had never noticed this before.
These are cool! Fedex10

2nd and 3rd “t’s” are two people sharing a tortilla over a bowl of salsa
These are cool! Tostit10

Probably the world’s most famous bike race. The “R” in “Tour” is a cyclist – yellow circle front wheel of bicycle.
These are cool! Tour_d10

See “31” embedded in the “ B R” ?? Thirty one-derful flavors !!!
These are cool! Baskin10

Northwest Airlines. Circle is a compass. Guess which direction the arrow in upper
left corner (or beginning of “W”) is pointing ??? (north west)
These are cool! Northw10

See the gorilla and lioness ??
These are cool! Pittsb10

Smiley face is also a “g” like in “goodwill”
These are cool! Goodwi10

Used to be the emblem for the Milwaukee Brewers. Baseball glove forms an “M” and a “B”. Logo was designed by a college art student.
These are cool! Millwa10

Now, you may start to analyze corporate logos.

A common misconception, BMW's corporate logo isn't likely to have originated from a propeller against the blue sky and white clouds, as is assumed.

"The circular blue and white BMW logo or roundel evolved from the circular Rapp Motorenwerke company logo, from which the BMW company grew, combined with the blue and white colours of the flag of Bavaria.
The logo has been portrayed as the movement of an aircraft propeller
with the white blades cutting through a blue sky — first used in a BMW
advertisement in 1929, a full twelve years after the roundel was created — but
this is not the origin of the logo itself."

Here's a link to a detailed read about the history of Rapp and of BMW taking over the corporation and the design of the subsequent logo.

Yes, I saw the doco about the BMW company and logo origins recently. I felt a little deflated after that, never mind.
