hey guys,

i am a lucky owner of a `89 k100LT but somehow i got bored with all the shield-touristy stuff and decided to peel it all;)

unfortunately i cannot find a head lamp anywhere but would love to stick to the original look.

if anyone of you have a spare, let me know!

cheers

there are many with the same idea paj

we have even thought about buying a k100 or k75 naked ...front fairing around the radiator and headlights stuff ...and making a mould for reproduction and sharing amoungst us down under . but they seem hard to find here ...and expensive as well, when you can find one .

but were all still looking

A large, round headlamp can be gotten from any motorbike parts shop (or wrecker) worth its salt. Also, headlight attachment ears are readily available as either adjustable rubber straps or clamp-type arms which usually come with a variety of rubber sleeves to accommodate the diametre of your bike's fork tubes - 41mm. Wiring it up will be as simple as since you've only to request the H4 type with parking light.

I had a 1982 Yamaha SR 250 with a round light and that could be a possible option for you. Should be some at wreckers by now.

My grandson loves bikes, here he is on my naked K.
I bought a RS fairing, spent many hours rubbing it down and spray painted, but realised an unfaired bike is what Iv'e always had and wanted. I fitted the screen to ease off wind buffering at NSL the wind can be quite tiring, never too warm.

Screen is from a K75 not sure which model though, found on flea-bay, it went straight on I had bought the screen mounts previously so it was just a matter of drilling a few holes.

I have not seen one like that before. Most attach above the instruments and are clear. Well done.

I used a Suzuki GSX1400 headlight complete, and a set of universal headlight brackets from MCS. As GITH said most good motorbike recyclers should have something you could use. You could probably get indicators from them too. I used Suzuki GS500 ones because they are a close match to the rears.
