I've found a k1100 top and lower front fairing completed with lights, indicators mirrors and electric screen (the bit I'm really interested in) for sale at reasonable money from a guy who's gone nekkid!

I know the screen and top fairing will graft straight onto my k100LT but what about the lower cover. Will I need to source brackets and or inners if used it?

If I buy I've got to take it as a job lot so if anyone here has and interest PM me.

The bracketry used to secure the K100LT fairing are different than those used on the K100LT; however, the points on the frame and engine to which they fasten are the same. The brackets are used to secure the upper fairing primarily. The lower fairing components mount to the upper fairing and not to the frame (similar to the K100RT/LT) except for one bracket pair that secures the lower fairing to the engine. I'd recommend getting the correct brackets along with the fairing components. After all, the guy will not need the brackets if he's converting his bike to nekkid. Have you thought about how the speedometer will be mounted when you change out your fairing?

The fairing bracket of the LT is different than the RT.
On the LT, the instrument cluster is attached to the fairing bracket. On the RT, the cluster is installed on the triple tee. If you can get this bracket (# Cool, you wont have any problems.

Thanks Robmack and CF, I guess the tree will be available if he's got a new headlamp mount etc. If I can get it then no worries, If not I believe I have to make a spacer of about 25mm for the instrument cluster and trim my front bracket (which is bent) for the motor - so getting the 1100 one solves 2 things.

Rene Z - pm sent.
