I dug out all my BMW sales catalogues today thinking that I might find some useful info and I came across these 'Sportfussrastenanlage' in a '91 brochure. They are listed as an option for all Ks except K1 and 16 valvers. The English version of the same catalogue didn't list them, so they may have only been available in Germany. Has anybody got a set, or even seen a set? scratch

Also I found an '83 K brochure and the September '83 issue of Motorrad with the first K road test before the launch on October 8th. Hoarding stuff can be rewarding sometimes.

Paul.

Had a similar thing for my K1100RS.

They were great for the driver but the pillion rests were hard against the panniers.

They're listed in the current ETK (parts catalogue) under section 46 'sport footrests' and are still available (my last check was two months ago) for big bucks from the BMW warehouse in Dingolfing Germany.

Beautiful, aren't they? You can achieve a foot peg placement, with the same problem of the passenger pegs touching the saddlebags, using stock K-1 foot peg plates. K-1 foot peg plates have the virtue of working on all of the K bikes including the 16 valve bikes with Paralever.

I have seen the sport foot peg plates but never took the deep breath necessary to buy them. Since I converted the old K to Paralever I guess I can't use then now even if I wanted to. I am surprised to read they are still available.

I have a set of sport sets for the k100/k75. I also have a few sets of K1 foot plates which also move then feet up and back. They will also fit k100/k75. Only thing is you need to put a spacer between foot plate and saddle bag mount. If used with saddle bags there is no place for the passengers foot to go since the peg is right against the bag. I also have a rare set of baumeister rear sets for the K100. I am located in the US so over seas shipping is costly.

Ok i just checked my garage. I have one set of sport plates. 2 sets of K1 foot plates. And I have 1 set of baumeister rear sets. The baumeister I think I am going to keep for one of my K100RS's. The others are all available for sale. Feel free to call me if,you need more info.
