7 years ago I sold my 86 part by part on Ebay. It had 185K miles on it with a few major problems I didn't want to tackle or pay someone to do it for me..... I have missed it ever since.

Well I'm back, just got a 84 K100rs with 16K miles on it (service records too)...

I keep seeing the phrase "Early K 100" and some of the differences...? Hotter cam, different starter clutch, different splines not as prone to fail, tank mounting and a few other things I can't think of right now.

Hi pjntc,

Many of the K problems we see here seem to come from leaving the bike standing for years, so my advice is to rack up some miles and keep using it.

Welcome back and enjoy.

Paul.
