Argghhh!
Have just put some bucks into a different project.
Wish had seen this one earlier!
If so, mine could have had a twin.
Might be of interest for someone else.

That is a CRAZY price, can be had for a lot less in Europe, a nice example for sure, but around 1500 Euros here

Many here don't know the value of these machines. Heh.

Bought my bike for reliable transportation and the mpg value, and because I like the way it looked, and because the fellow that I got it from was meticulous with his maintenance and record keeping....and for the Fun. (Am on it every day).

I know what value is...and now I own a K100.

Kinda like the toyota x-cab 4x4 that one might see in the right side of my avatar.
Frame is gone/rusted beyond help from the '86 toyota...will scrap/break/junk/part it out soon. Hate to do it because it has been a pal, (like a horse that one has lived with). I envy you cats that are able to buy the diesel Hi-lux....and you sure can not get one in the US.

Regards,
Jim

Jim,
I guess it's all relative. Even with our inflated bike prices the classic K is still low cost quality riding down here.
Pick the right one and pay a bit extra for good history and servicable higher cost consumables like discs and you've got a friend.
Cheers,

Can't buy a diesel Hi-lux well I'll be buggered what is the reason for that if one is even given. I would have thought there would be a big market for something like that.

True, I don't think I've ever seen one here in Ireland, at least not for a long long time.
As a point of more useless info, I had a Land Rover 110 with a 3L Toyota diesel in it for 21 years at work but thats one for another forum Very Happy

No idea why no diesel yotas here.
Might be too many environmental issues to comply with.
Might be thought to cut too deeply into the gas/petrol versions' market.
Diesel, a less refined fuel, is more costly here than gasoline. Go figure.
'cuse me Mr. Admin. Hijacked own thread, but wanted to respond. Very Happy

Here we go again...

http://www.reachoo.com/ads/87818460

If these sort of opportunities continue keep coming up....I will darned well cash in a small old 401k that hasn't been doing much of anything, take the 20% tax hit, and add another more valuable to me... asset to the household Very Happy...and won't care if I have to fly out and drive home.

Jim come to NJ with a truck and we can make a deal on a few bikes plus a few parts bikes and more. It will only make a small dent in the 401k. Maybe make it into a 395k.

Have kinda been having a hankering for a 16v lately... Very Happy
Yeah! 395k...right.
Regards,
Jim...noting for others that don't live here, a 401k is a retirement plan...and in my case a very very very modest one. LOL.
