I know a lot of folks use Moto Bins, but I find their searches to difficult.

Motorworks actually uses the BMW part numbers for searches. Find your part on Realoem and stick the number into the search on Motorworks.

Not sure if the Bins requests a vin when you order parts, but there is an option on the works site and they check the vin against the part to make sure they match.

Hope it helps

Just to reiterate that Motorworks are selling into North America now, but only as Rossco stated earlier, NEW parts. A mate of mine in Seattle just got turned down on some clean secondhand spares from them. New only, chaps. Pity that. The search for as good a source as them for US & Canadian customers continues...

As I have said a few times on this forum, check the price with your local dealer before you order from either of the UK suppliers. On a number of occasions now I have ordered stuff from the dealer at the same price as 'bins of 'works. and saved the P&P. You would think that P&P would not be expensive from the UK to France as we are only 22 miles apart, but it is very expensive.
Latest order was for a pair of Brembo front calliper overhaul kits for a 16valve, dealer price was actually about 5% cheaper than the UK shops before they added P&P.

I'll second the above.

I'm shopping for parts for my K1100R project. I do what I always do and list all the parts from Motorworks, Motobins and BMW(GB). Then I pop in the my local dealer and show them the prices. They rarely cannot beat the price from the independent suppliers.

It's brake pads, braided hoses and other alternative parts where the independents gain.

I am not telling anyone to buy from Motorworks. Just letting folks know what they now offer.

Unless something is needed urgently in Australia then buying locally is usually not an option.

$99.00 for one handle bar mounted mirror?
$8.00 for ONE injector O ring?

I have bought from the dude in WA. His price was high but not excessive after postage, but my preference is to buy from the UK when I have the luxury of waiting for the delivery

No one is saying buy or don't buy. What we are saying is that you should check prices with a BMW dealer before you order. MikeP in the UK and me in France are finding that 'works and 'bins prices are no cheaper, but you must add p&p on top. If you have the money and are quite happy to shop online and pay more for the privilege then that is fine, I prefer to ring the dealer with a part number and ask the price before I order anything.

In Australia we don't even bother to check the dealer prices as they are known as stealers and they surely are. I shall give you an example.
Cam chain replacement Kit for a K1100. Local dealer price just a touch over $600, the guy in western Australia (who buys his gear from motoworks and Motobins) $440 and from Motobins $128 +P&P which was from memory about $35 and included some other parts
A Right Hand Handlebar switch block. Local dealer "you can't get them anymore" An Independent BMW specialist shop " oh round $500 If I can get one but probably not"  West Aus guy "$400 or round that but not sure if you can get them anymore"

Motobins "thanks for placing the order that will be $126 +P&P and it should be in your letterbox in about 6 days"
Need I say more

FYI
Motorworks

Hot news for customers in Canada and the US! We've changed our carrier for North America and our shipping rates are now 30% lower than they previously were. It's got faster too. We managed to get parts to a customer in California within 48 hours last week. Guide time is 2-5 working days. We believe that this makes us thoroughly competitive with US suppliers and indeed cheaper and faster for some items!

Just ordered a wad of parts from Motorworks yesterday. Mixed new and used. Generally I have them in 48 hours. If you use Skype to call them they are very helpful too and know their bikes and parts. But there are times you get cheaper prices elsewhere and we also have a ludicrous situation when my friend can get some new parts sent FROM US at cheaper prices.

One day I wanted some part and the post was twice the price of the part.  Rang them and they said it was cost for signed delivery post. So I said send ordinary post, even if it goes wrong getting a second one will still be cheaper than signed delivery.

Service is excellent.

I ordered those parts on Thursday last week. About 5pm Friday got an email confirming they were send out. Monday was a holiday and they arrived Wednesday just after lunch. A pile of new and used parts. The used items were all good.
