Alpine Lake CA in Spring FH010010

Alpine Lake CA in Spring FH000007

These photos were taken this past spring at Alpine Lake, California when the snow had melted on the mountain roads. The deep snow was still piled high on the road sides. It was quite exciting driving "through" 2 meters of snow! The temperature was 108'F in the lower valley and 36'F in the mountains. Luckily the sweat had a chance to dry before getting into the cold stuff!

The world is a beautiful place. It's great to get out and ride! Alpine Lake CA in Spring Icon_biggrin

Peace,

Hi Scottie

Nice pictures. I'm interested in how you have the spots fitted on your K. Did you buy the brackets or make them yourself?
Any more detailed photos available?

hi,

I am trying to imagine how much fun this must have been. One more motivation for planning my "big" north american bike trip.

Comberjohn, Mounting the spots is EASY on an RT. I used a piece of 1/4" steel bar about an inch wide. It is mounted to the lower nose of the RT fairing using two 10mm head bolts. The bolts go through two stock holes on the lower nose of the fairing. It was a very easy affair to do this.

Roys, I am BLESSED to live in northern California, one of the most beautiful parts of the world I've ever visited. On a regular basis I am traveling around looking at this beauty!

Check out my new post on where I went this weekend. You'll love it.
