I did about 120ml last evening in Wicklow.
Started from home nth of Clane, but route planner starts at Kill.
Initially nice sun, ran into rain at Aughrim, heavier rain at Rathdrum, in the clear by Laragh.
The road from Laragh to Holywood in MADE for biking....just lovely.
Home in the dark by 22.30.
No leaks in the gear and K ran like the well oiled machine that it is.

Roll on Sat and the North West 200 (Ulster GP)

You passed within about 13k's of me - I could have popped over and escorted you a bit of the way! That run from Aughrim to Woodenbridge is one of my favourite roads when you hit it with light traffic and the run up from Rathdrum to Larragh is real little rollercoaster, ain't it?

Oh yeah, Woodenbridge is a stunning place in the wet or dry.
That road from Rathdrum to Laragh sure is twisty and bendy.
I guess I was doing 15mph in the wet....just wasn't worth taking the risk what with the screen blocking my view in the torrential rain.
Still enjoyable for all of that.....

Ha I love to hear about those roads.

I remember those on a bicycle with no engine and no weather protection. I grew up to realise you could have sun and 25C at the coast and up there just a few miles inland have cloud and 25mm of rain.....Yep, 'happy' memories of bicycles...But Annamoe and Laragh and those places...stunning even in watery sunshine with the next black cloud looming, settled nicely in front of you cycling home.....



I wandered lonely as a cloud,

Looking forward to getting back on a K sooin I hope. Locally we have Corkboy, Bjorn, Pat O'D, 92KK, I believe one or two more as I encountered a K at the CIT one day.

I know we can get rain in Cork but so can Wicklow....

We have a Lauragh down here too, one the Kerry end of the Healy Pass and well worth a visit......makes a nice day trip from Cork. We wont tell the others about the Shebeen there, the turf fire, the hot whiskey.......
