Hi All,

Thanks Admin for authorising.

Bought an '87 K100 5 days ago and have already started tearing it to pieces... oops!

22K miles with a bit of service history and a fair bit to take care of before I can hit the road proper.

I should have taken a pic before I started dismantling but I'm afraid I was too eager to wait.

cheers

Gareth

In at the deep end eh Gareth? was it faired or not before the stripping began. Start taking some pics as you go to entertain us. Good luck with it and if you need some help the forum is a great support.

Welcome along from just across the water.

Yes, that is the reason we take pics.
It has nothing to do with the owners aging faster than the bikes and forgetting where all the bits go.

zip lock plastic bags with a label inside and felt pen outside are also your friend.

There is no such thing as a 'safe place'. If you think you will need it again and don't want to lose it, hang it from the end of your nose or else it will be gone forever.
Along with all the other bits we have all put in 'safe places'. And single socks. And hair.

And welcome to the forum.

I'm in Kilkhampton, just north of Bude. Almost as far north in Cornwall as you can go.

I'm often over Bude way - am guessing you might have run into Spider Bob who also lives in Kilk ? Maybe we will catch up at some point but seeing they have recently gritted the Launceston - Bude road, the Launceston posse are avoiding it until is settles down again.

Nope, not heard of Bob. dont really know anyone into bikes locally. I'll have to see about getting this little project back on the road but then yer, generally keen for an excuse for a mission.

cheers

Welcome Johnser, I too am a newbie to the forum. You will find a wealth of expertise on these pages and you will find peoples time will be freely given. Just ask and usually problems can be solved. If you ever up the Lake District way give me a shout and we could go on a "mission" as you call it

John
