Hi there

I m Oliver, just entered the 2nd half of my 40s last year.  Smile
Originally from Germany (near Dortmund/Cologne), but living since almost 7 yrs in Tokyo.
Riding since 2 yrs a 12/1988 K100RS in 623 Brillantsilber with ABS, gripheater, fuel-&temp.gauge, Touring-panniers ...
My bi-K-e has 31k Km on the clock, so it s still about 70k to ride till the first inspection ! Lol !  Smile
Try to fix my bike as much as I can by myself.

I plan for the next spring to get her naked, with org. BMW parts from a K100 Basic/1. Still collecting parts. The RS fairing is beautiful, but Tokyos summers are just too hot for to ride around with a fairing!

Former rides were Enfield Bullets 350 & 500 cc (4yrs at India,11yrs Germany),  BMW R80 (Panamericana S.F./Ca. to Darien-Gap/Panama & back 1999-2000), Honda Dominator, Yamaha DT ... (love also dirt&gravel... Smile )

I m also a member of the Flyingbrick-Forum at Germany and some other BMW-/ & Bike- Foren.

Hajimemashite! Dozo Yoroshiku-Onegaishimasu! Nice to meet You! Smile

Wish U guys always a crash- & crease-free ride

re-K-ards from Japan,
Oliver

PS. are there members around here from Tokyo/Kanto-Area ...?

Hi everybody!

Thanks for the cordially welcome!Very Happy

@Henk
just remember Ur user-ID from the german Flyingbrick-Forum ...?!

Yep, Tokyo is a superlative, a great place to be!
It s not only one of the biggest cities in the world,
but also one of the busiest & noisiest !
Living almost 7yrs in the Metropolitan 23 ward area.
Sometimes I really miss some green, without the need to ride 1hr or more ...  Wink

regards from Tokyo,
Oliver

Hi Oliver.  Nice to have you here with us.  You have a very impressive riding resumé!  -- lots of interesting bikes and travels!
However, I must say I can't imagine riding in Tokyo on a big, heavy and fast K-bike.  It must be hard to get out of 2nd or 3rd gear there! Shocked
