Just been reading an account from our new member, Shoganai, about the Iron Butt Association and discovered that there is an Iron Butt Association Ireland.
I've been thinking that I might like to give it a go in the Spring and wondered if any other Eccentrics wanted to join me?
May mean going above 50 mph, Olaf.  Cool

A very interesting post. I put 900 miles on the K100LT on our first North weekend.

I guess am in as I am well able to go over 50mph. You did 50-60 on the run down to Newry in September, sgmayhew kept it up as we headed on to Dublin and I did same to Cork. That was 50 to 60 on the rev counter.

What is involved in it? Does one need exit passes?

It'll need a bit of planning. Take a look at the website, www.ibaireland.org, for more detailed info.
Thinking of the Spring because of better weather plus there will only be a few hours of darkness.

I  look, one lap seems to be all. Bet you wish you lived on a smaller island like ours where the pubs are closer together! Will look closer but seems you must have a gps. Don't have one!!
