I am in the middle of fitting a fuel gauge (all working now) and a water temp gauge and I would like to know if this will do the job as the sender, thanks. I did try using the search function but found nothing to help me.

I don't know if it is the right one (they normally have a blue collar) and I don't see the threat, but why don't you call one of the usual suspects? Motorworks/Motobins/James Sherlock?

If you obsolutely want one, buy one.....

It might not show the correct value on the instrument, but I guess it wont be that far of......
You soon see what is the normal value with this set up....and what is outside of this normal value.

Take care when thightening this non OEM sensor, the easily snap of.....
It have been covered here on this forum earlier, a non OEM sensor from one of the three earlier mentioned suppliers.

If you find it total useless, you have lost £5 and 0,5 hour of your life....and must buy a OEM sensor.

Having looked into this a few years before when I installed a temp gauge on my bike I understand there are two different type of sensors that go with different type of gauges. One for water, the other for oil. Both are about 50 Ohms for mid level gauge, but the water one is mid-gauge at 100C (correct?) and the oil one at 80C IIRC. Most temp gauges are the same in setup (expecting 50 Ohms for mid-level), so the right sensor should work with various brands of gauges.
