Managed to get the bike to crank over ok via slave battery .
The clutch wont disengage although the arm moves when you use the lever .
Thoughts on sorting this ? I do plan on taking the engine out when I start properly so if nec will separate if nec was going to leave connected if all ok.

Sounds like the plates are rusted together in which case even if you do get it to free up it will wear out in no time flat. Plan on fixing it.
