Happens to us all mate! I had planned to be at Blue Boxer too but had to pass in favour of family needs. At least I was lucky enough to ride up here to Emerald on the K1100.

We'll be thinking of you at Quandialla.

Cheers

p.s. Loved the outfit you displayed last weekend.

Expensive way to buy a set of 3 spokes and a paralever Waz.

What will you do with the rest of the bike?

Well I just cant help myself. Not only Kpox but Zpox as well.  I am picking this up on Wednesday

It is a 1979 Z1300 with a GS1100 Suzuki fairing and a sidecar of unknown manfacturer.  I have seen these chairs around but cant remember or never knew the name. It is well made except for the connections to the bike. Can anyone shed light on the brand.
The bike also comes with a bagfull of new spares that are almost impossible to get now.
The top box and panniers are very definately not Kawasaki and maybe Harley so I am open to suggestions on what they are from also.

Rick I think I have seen that shaped body on a 350 Jawa combo from early 80's, I would have to search every early Bike Australia mag to find the story though.

Do I see a blacked-out, upside down Clubman-barred, rearsetted, LED headlighted, exhaust taped Rick G visiting the chiro in the near future?
You could get a penny or two for those extra bits and have the lightest Z1300 known to hipsters everywhere!

Holy smoke on a Jawa. It's a big chair and a very underpowered Jawa would be really struggling to move it.
Usually a manufacturer will put a trade mark or name on them but it has nothing. It very obviously came out of a mould so presumeable was produced in some quantity.
One of the members on a Kawasaki forum posted a picture of it and has had heaps of lookers from all over the planet but no positive lead or even a suggestion.
What Irecall of seeing one was the very distinctive 2 perimiter bars and I even remember them being stepped down like that.
Think I will just hang it in the rafters till I finish chookie them I am going to or at least have intentions of using it on the other K1100LT

It looks like a chair form Victoria, there is a pic of one with a single rail on a r100 at a show and shine in Samford  that may be closer to this one, the Jawa was smaller yet still a single seater, so they don't feed the pillions much over there. Google it and look for a gray combo

Only riding the KBeast at the moment (the K is silent)...

But Ive got 2 other projects on the run. One is an adventure postie bike, and the other is a rad going 'bucket racer' Kawasaki KH100 my old man had started before he passed. The engine is all done - ported and polished and other magic things. Gotta get some wheels and suspension for it. He made a nice alloy seat/ducktail for it too.

Anyways, thats not the point of my post....

If anyone is every shipping back a container of bikes from Europe, can they chuck one of these in for me? Tah.

Montesa Impala. Made in Barcelona. 175cc 2 stroke. One of my favourite bikes ever. Cheers

Heres my current collection;

Latest one K1200RS: Not sure about it yet. My crook right hip doesnt like the seating position. But, it is fast and very smooth. Time will tell.

1989 R100GS: Bought as a shambles. I'll finish off the resto next year. Nice to ride in its own way.

1988 K100RT. Was going to sell it, but I might just keep it. All the big jobs are done and it goes well.

2004 KLR650 sidecar. Prone to falling over as a solo, and wedging itself between trees as an outfit. Its now has a wider track and is aligned correctly so it should stop doing that.

I couldn't refuse him. He walked in with a limp and a sad story, offering his '87 K75S for a coupla grand because he needed the money. I looked at it. It needs a few things, mostly maintenance, the breather hose, a few leaks fixed, has a torn seat, and is in need of a set of fresh tyres. 34,976 original miles on the odo, but not a coupla grand's worth. He's owned it for yonks.

I paid him $500 and took him to the bus station for the next city, where he lives. I have in hand a clean title and WA state rego already applied for. The office manager offered to expedite the paperwork for me. Thanks, hon. With moist eyes she told me he's ill and dying. Later, as he climbed out of the car he said with a quiet smile and a tone of resignation, "Take care of her, she's been good to me." I will, mate, she's in good hands, I will. We shook hands and for a moment I lingered there, and watched him hobble away, feeling grateful for many things in this life including life itself.

Since buying, detailing and selling the K75S last Summer, I've sold on the standard '85 K100, added another K1200R, the '93 K1100RS, and now a clean but damaged '94 R100R Mystic.

It's a very late '94 R100R Mystic which has been sitting in my mate Gary's Seattle basement gathering dust for fifteen years! The tank was emptied, the oil changed, and the battery removed. It was dropped on the right hand side by the original owner, has a legit Washington state salvage title (insurance company buy back), was fixed up enough to make it roadworthy, but the project was never finished, so Gary bought it and subsequently parked it. The bike is that wonderful maroon/burgundy colour, but the tank was dented so puttied and painted a nice, gloss black. I might restore it to the original, or paint the mudguard, sidecovers and seat cowl to match the tank. It has 29,000 miles on the clock, panniers, and is otherwsie bone stock. He wanted a stack for it five years ago when I first returned to the states and home-sat his house for a few months, but yesterday he agreed to a much reduced price. I think he got tired of looking though the layers of dust.

I welcome another Airhead into the fold. I've gone too far away from them this last decade. Pics when it's unloaded on Tuesday arvo, but this is what it looks like...

I threw a leg over the new Supersport at my local dealer (where I once worked) and thought, "This'll do nicely on the twisty roads up and over the Cascades." It wasn't too leaned forward; a nice, sporting but neutral riding position for those with a Euro riding position bent.

Decided the KTM was too big so I just picked up this 2014 WR250R with 3,441 miles on it.

Already upgraded by the prior owner with:

Skidplate
Windscreen
Luggage racks and Wolfman bags
Oxford heated grips
Powerlet socket on the bars
5 gallon tank (the factory 2 gallon and side panels were included too)
Sargeant seat
Zeta handguards
Headlight protector

My R1200R Sport.
I've just taken it out to Spain, it seems a pity to leave it there but it rides so well around the mountains! It's so much better than my previous Air/Oil cooled 2009 version it's hardly believable. The motor is punchier but it's the improved cornering I'm really impressed with. Very Happy

Enjoying the view...

I couldn't help myself. I spotted this, owned by a former customer, not ridden for two years. I rode it, saw the service records, and we agreed a deal.

2009 K1300GT, arrest-me-red. It almost matches the colour of the inner liner of my mesh Spidi riding jacket.

Thanks TWB I used to ride it to the local shopping centre, until they made it illegal. Flat out at 40KPH but still great fun. Used to get good feed back, it fooled quite a few people. If you speak French, the name on the tank is appropriate.

Didn't notice the name until you pointed it out, but my very limited French covers it. Very Happy  Drôle.

Love the machine, too.

2009 K1300GT

I've wanted a replacement for two bikes, the aging R1150RT and the too-heavy K1200GT brick. This one and its Duolever front suspension, capacious panniers and 28 litre topbox, heated seats, ESA, 1293cc and 160hp, does it. Back in 2007, regretfully, I sold a K1200S when I moved back home to OZ, two years ago I bought the '06 K1200R, then this Summer another one, and imagined the fine motor and suspension in a more touring-oriented layout. Here I have it.

Two Airheads, three Bricks, an Oilhead and a trio of new K's.

When you mentioned an 84 brick we kind of assumed you meant 1984....silly us. As for that crossflow exhaust, it never really caught on.

Ducati ST2 Loaded and ready for the off to  the ABR Rally. Didn't have a brick ready for that one but the Duc does well on Irish roads.

Olaf you are the first to comment on the crossflow, very observant. The head and the barrel is cast as one piece, I did think about cutting them apart and welding them back together. However common sense sort of prevailed.

This little piece of carbon fibre and titanium arrived today, via Fedex from San Francisco, for the '13'. It sounds superb. I look forward to a run on an open road when it's not raining.

Last spring garage cleaning annual photo:

From left to right:
2001 BMW 125 C1, '93 BMW R1100GS, '90 BMW R100GS Dakar, '86 BMW K75GS,'83 BMW K100, '93 BMW K1, '70 BMW R75/5; '77 BMW R100RS '75 BMW R75/6, '81 BMW R100RT
Up: '68 BMW R60 sidecar, '86 Yamaha 600 TT, '90 Yamaha 600 XT; '79 Yamaha 500SR

Some changes since then...
The green R75/6 and the K100 were sold was sold and others came:
- 93 K1100LT
- 93 Gilera 600 Nordwest

- 93 BMW K1 sidecar
And a BMW '95 R100R:
All these bikes a road registered and daily used (or almost).

I'm finishing these days a full restauration of a '84 BMW R80.

Missing:
-a 500 Royal Enfield bullet, engine needs to be open to solve a huge oil consuption issue:
- a 91 900 SS Ducati , long term project.
- a 72 BMW R60/5; very very long term project
And about 20 others in cases or delayed projects: R75/5, R75/5 kneeler sidecar, R75/6, R100RS Turbo Luftmeister, R80G/S, R65 enduro, R80 rigid chopper, K75S, K1100 LT.

Most of these bikes were bought less than 1000€ and I usually restore one a year.
But I'd better extend the storage next year...

Very easy here in France as we have no annual tax or technical inspection (CT, MOT, TUV) on bikes. Fill the garage up!

Here is my stable - 1989 K100 RS SE in the back and my first bike - a 1974 R75/6 which I've had for 9 years.  Unfortunately, someone knocked it into another bike while parked and broke the front fender.
