Has anyone in Australia used Bruno's for a driveshaft and diff spline re-build?

My splines are about 50% worn but the bike goes like a dream, is still low kms (77k) and I love riding it so I want to keep it going for many more years.

I hate the thought of stripping the splines and having a wonderful bike rendered useless and the fear of doing so is also hampering my riding.

I would like to but I would day the relatively low cost of 2nd hand albeit slightly worn units make that a much more viable option

Can you recommend any wreckers that I may be able to find a good second hand diff spline?

If I could find a good one I'd then consider a Munich Motorcycle driveshaft refurb.

Post a Wanted ad in this forum.

My understanding is that most bike wreckers dont really want any K's in their stash as people rarely need parts for them. (this was explained to me by a guy who claimed to know the owner for Metropolitan Motorycle Wreckers - who sold this bloke 5 or 6 K's he had for bugger all money coz they were taking up space.)

And the BMW specialist wreckers charge an arm and leg, but do offer a wide range of stuff in good nick.

Id be more inclined to hunt out a private sale for a FD as you're likely to get a much better price.

When mine ends up going I may do a paralever conversion....and a 1200 engine....and a GSXR front end... Wink

damn these K pox

"Discount motorcycle wreckers" located in Dawson road coburg stock a large range of BMW spares and seem to be popular with BMW riders....
