Same as mine K100/2

Pretty rare. More so in NZ i would guess and great price.

Probably a Japanese import. I think that was the main market for them.

It's tidy looking, but I'd like to see the VIN. Is there no requirement that it be posted on that site? On a pedantic Beemer tragic note, that yellow battery looks very much to be a Motobatt brand which isn't a GEL at all, but an AGM.

No VIN required . we do all that through somewhere like http://www.carjam.co.nz/ or motorweb. If you get serious about spending a grand or more on a car you would be a fool not to spend $20.00 getting a securities check done prior to bidding on it

If it is not vinned the owner would normally say so.

Trademe is pretty trustworthy, the equivalent of ebay overseas with trust-worthy-ness ratings, address verified etc. Of course, if you don't like what you see when you go to pick it up then you don't buy it and risk a bad feedback on the Auction site for being a pr*ck.

If you buy it sight unseen then it would be your own silly fault if anything was not as it appeared

Of course it is buyer beware at all times as usual

If I was in the market for another one then Based on this I would be inspecting it with a view to purchase for a max of probably $2200.

Bear in mind it will need all the usual reconditioning before it would be a reliable beema, with a rego @ $520.00 p/a, a wof and everything else it would probably be on the road for around $3200 as a standard old bike.

If you wanted a "nice" one then . . . cost is . .  how long is a piece of string ??
