A friend here bought an Egli Vincent about 6 years ago and it spent 9 of the 12 months warranty period in a workshop and until he decided to rebuild the whole thing from ground up he had a never ending series of problems. He said to me a couple of years back that he regretted the day he ever saw one.

While the Eglis do look a bit fiddly with a fair bit of untidiness of detail about them (look at that mass of coloured hoses, exposed cables and wiring!), they're prolly a blast to ride. But at nearly US$35,000 it can sit and be pretty to look at in someone else's garage.

Note that it's been removed from eBay just now.

Whatever people say, I would love to have one.
Egli frame had a very good reputation.
35K is way more than what my wife will let me spend on a bike (we could buy new appliances and have a cleaning lady for the next 2 years for the same price). Very Happy

Tigers Vincent is a bit like that wires and fuel/oil lines every where. He has said that its a really something to ride but has so many problems. If I paid $41000 for a bike I would be less than impressed if it had continuing problems like his.
