Streuth! I could've bought five of my recently acquired K100 for that sort of money.
And mine is straighter than that one, too.

I never knew there was a short wheelbase model. They go for big money.

Am I missing something here?

1. It's red. nuff said.

2. Gearsack rack.

3. Rare Australian SWB(short wheel base) K75 model...well, I haven't seen another like it!

4. It runs (I think)

5. Limited front fork travel, so it doesn't wallow in the corners.

Imagine flicking that through a set of "S" bends!

When you're dealing with these guys who have no idea of what the bike is worth, then you generally find that they find the idea of a big price drop or "negotiation" very alien

here's another example:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/291380125019?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2661&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Bike has got some quite expensive defects to remedy so the price is just silly.
He put it on e bay a couple of weeks ago and got no bids. I rang him, saying that i wanted to look at the bike , but really to get the phone number so that I could make an after auction offer. Said would SMS it but never did.
What sort of seller with no bids, doesn't follow up on a prospective bidder.
When it didn't sell, what does this idiot do? Relists it at the SAME price. Despite getting no bids, i'll bet he won't take an offer.

I'd be thinking that he doesn't really have a bike at all.
I did get into an argument once with a bloke who'd stated that he never let anyone test ride the bikes he sold. I pointed out that no one would by a bike they hadn't test ridden, except under exceptional circumstances. He reckoned he'd never had any trouble.

I keep track of a lot of the BMW sales on fleabay and there are a lot advertised for those sort of prices but they often aren't sold or sell for a lot less.

Might need more than mirrors and indicators to get it registered?

...and it needs shorter cables too.

Rick,
You are a big pussy.
That is what bike riding is all about.

E bay K100.
Maybe for $2200 it's not bad.
He's done a bit of work shaping up the left footrest and putting the clip ons on. lights etc.
Seat is a bit crude but work in shortening up frame has been done.
Could be a fun bike for not much money.

Does anyone else think it's worth a look?

what's the name of the NZ guy in the waikato who di a project and replaced the instrument pod?
