The K100-EML has 15" wheels and even using the Karamba software, I cannot have the speedo working correctly.
It's OK up to 90km/h but after that, it's totally unreliable.
I am looking to install a digital bicycle speedo and would like to know if anybody has experience with the Sigma model BC512. (This is one of the few that I see displaying speed over 99km/h)
If you are using another model, please let me know.

Thanks

CF

Not sure if this would solve the problem but I used one on the K75 of my wife's to get the speedo working properly. That was 8 years ago and it is still working correctly.

They aren't cheap but they do work well.

I prchased a WIKANGO 600 digital speedo and speed zone alert . Simple Plug and play, connects to 12v outlet.
Updates avaliable every week to ensure all info is accurate.
In Australia I paid $ 78.
Comes with mount/cables etc. Good option

Why don't you convert to an aftermarket speedo such as the Koso-clones available on ebay? (for example, this one) It probably costs as much as a bicycle speedo. Use the TGPI board I make, you can get all the functionality you loose by swapping out the OEM instrument cluster.

Thanks for all the replies.
I am planning to keep the original instrument cluster and add a simple extra digital display.
The main problem with the electronic bike speedos is their capacity to display a speed over 99km/h.
I found that Sigma sells the model MC10 specially designed for motorcycles. It can display a speed up to 399km/h (It would be interesting to see a K100 rig at this speed).
I ordered one from the manufacturer and the total cost with shipping is (USD)$35.99
Check the specs here

Bert

My speedo occasionally decides to not read, or read erratically. The Sigma may be helpful.

Having different Sigma speedos as supplementary instruments on my bikes it was suggested that the term "water resistant" is merely a guide. In a downpour always take the speedo off or put a piece of plastic around it.

I have older version of Sigma's motorcycle speedometer. It has functioned well over 3 years (one battery change) and about +8000km. Battery change doesn't even affect on the odometer (and if it would you can put the old reading back on with help of instructions manual) It was relatively easy to calibrate and is accurate. Only minus is that it is a bit "slow" and by that I mean that it gives the correct reading when accelerating with a delay.

One possibility is a phone with GPS or a GPS device installed on bike.

I have one of these:

Swap it between bikes and even use it when walking. GPS, rechargeable and has back lighting.
