Today I had 2 choices:
Start to work on the bike or train for my new job which is ice cube maker.
I selected the second option and after 5 hours using the chain saw, sledge hammer and ice pic I got enough ice cubes for tonight and tomorrow's drink.
I may go back to my previous I.T. job
The picture just shows how much ice we have in our street(8") and why I am not on the rush to work on the bike.
The trench is so deep that I had to put a fluo jacket to warn drivers not to sink into it.

That's amazing CF, it gets cold here in Guyra -13c sometimes, but nothing like the cold you have.
Under the ice I bet the grounds wellfrozen too, I recon you get a few frozen and burst water pipes.

Last year, in Calgary, people had underground water supply frozen until June.
We never seen this bad in Nova Scotia for 30 years.

For Inge: I resolved the problem. As the ice cubes are huge, we are using a bucket to poor our scotch in.
1 shot = 1 ounce gallon Very Happy

They cant use underground wiring, the electrons freeze and the smoke cant flow along the conductors.

No more school closures due to stormy days. The school buses will be on time whatever the weather is.

But they love technology and want to have all their screens displaying high resolution.
As a result, here is the forecast for tonight:

A fast way to clean the snow will be to cut it (CTRL + X on a PC ) then paste it into your neighbors driveway( CTRL + V)

Winter starts to be debilitating... Can you see that? :geek: :joker:

Here in Rodemack, there is the occasional bit of snow left on the ground. Home in Goulburn we might get a snow fall once a year, but it doesn't stay long before melting.

Being able to cut ice cubes is totally foreign to me, but I'd also be reluctant to put Bert's in a drink.

Bill

That's some amount of ice to have lying around.

You must have a real problem coping with the gin shortage.
