makes you think at this price, that it might be worth buying as a source of parts

http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/shailer-park/motorcycles/bmw-k100-rs/1072587552

might ring tomorrow and see what the tyres are like and speedo etc

and

I'm picking up a k75C. Has the small flat sided mini fairing. When this is removed does the headlight unit come away with it or it it a stand alone unit.

and
can I put the flat bars off an RS on to the 75 C.

The K100 that I recently picked up has one of those small fairings.
Haven't taken it apart but it looks like the headlight is mounted in a black plastic panel thats attached to the yokes and the fairing is fixed to it. Wouldn't hold the headlight on its own. Well, it would but would be really ugly!
Similar fittings to the original naked K100

Or you could have a look at this one.

http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/southport/motorcycles/classic-bmw-k100rs-eligible-for-club-rego/1072631133

The C fairing will come away separately from the headlight. If you remove the two black panels at the rear, all will be revealed. Headlight is mounted to the forks.

Wwiemail sent re RS bars.
