Hey guys, ok I have LED indicators up front and rear LED indicators and light panel strip at the back. I have done the flasher relay mod and the front blink fine but I am not getting anything lighting at the rear. Is there a mod I need to follow to solve this?

Also, front headlamp is only working with the 'pass' button on the left switchgear pressed.....

Any help much appreciated!

Check the rear lighting connector behind the tail light lens.  Also check the ground for the turn signals.

Both front and rear turn signal power come out of the flasher relay terminals so the issue is not the flasher relay if the fronts work but back don't.

I should have said that original lights are gone (custom street tracker), this is basically an LED strip at the rear which has both indicators and tail light which do not work.....

If none of the lights work then I would suspect it is a ground issue.

Are you sure the LEDs are 12V? They should be but it doesn't hurt to ask,

Are both front and rear ground from tbe same place? Will check if 12 v but they are specially for motorcycles so I presume so....

The whole bike (frame, motor, etc...) is a ground really. Any brown wire from the factory is ground.

The factory wiring harness for rear lighting has five wires:

Gray/black - tail light 12V
Gray/yellow - brake light 12V
Blue/red - Left turn signal 12V
Blue/black - Right turn signal 12V
Brown - ground

Thank you.....yes I have it wired like this exactly. Does  the wiring require anything special for LED?

No. LEDs should be fine. 12V is 12V.

Have you tried powering the LEDs straight from the battery to make sure they work?

Just checked the LED strip via the battery and it was dead, luckily I have a spare so that has gone on and it works. So to re-cap this is where I am now;

1) in key position 1 the tail lamp lights but NOT in position 2
2) I am only getting power to the headlamp when the high beam "pass" button is pressed down
3) No power to brake light switches

Any help much appreciated!

...........and no power to the horn.

Check your load shedding relay, especially the ground path for the coil
through the starter brushes/commutator.

I have just thoroughly cleaned the startor motor as recomended, it now looks back to life at least!!

Next will be for me to take a look at the load shedding relay, can I test this?

Also, I am thinking, should infact the lights be on WITHOUT the engine running anyway?

If it is standard, then for the UK you do not need the engine running for the light to be illuminated.

Guys, ok this is where I am at, this post now over rides others necause I had stupidly put back the connector pins from the right hand controls in slightly wrong!!

So;

-Ignition in pos 1, tail light on - correct?
-Ignition in pos 2, light switch OFF - no rear light but press the brake pedal and the brake light lights up.
-Ignition in pos 2, light switch ON - brake light lights up without pressing pedal, pedal is not stuck down.

Any help really appreciated!

If you're going to run LED brake and tail lights then you need to get rid of the BMU:
