I'm fitting speed bleeders to my K75. I've dual four-pot non-ABS up front and the single 2-pot rear. Will this require one Speed Bleeder per caliper (3 total) or can I get away with one front, one rear (2 total)? Reason is they are sold in pairs.

Good question, Robert. I bought two sets and have a spare. It has never occurred to me that you only need one at the 'very end' of the brake house circuit you're bleeding, but it may be true.

I just manually filled and bled the front brakes on the Big Block project (four pot Brembos, Spiegler hoses with a factory splitter under the fork brace, and 20mm M/C) and after topping off the master cylinder and opening the left side calliper's speed bleeder it was pumping bubbles and then nothing but clear fluid. Opening and squirting the right hand side a few slow, easy strokes had it firm and fully functional in five minutes.

My '94 75RT only has one bleeder on the front. It has a crossover line between the calipers and the bleeder is on the downstream caliper only. I don't even see a place to install a bleeder on the other.

If your bike is like my K100 where the lines split and go individually to the calipers, then you will need two front bleeders.

If you are looking on eBay, I believe there are sellers who will sell three or more and combine shipping.

Thanks for the input.

I'm supporting local bike shops by shopping retail. They only stock and sell pairs. My front brakes have a T-splitter on the fork brace and single lines to each front caliper. I guess that means one Speed Bleeder per caliper -- three in total. I can see having only one Speed Bleeder on the last caliper for those setups with a crossover pipe, because the crossover pipe occupies the place where the nipple would go.
