Just in case any of you were wondering where on earth the Australian K100 banner has got to....

There is good news, it has made it's way over the Atlantic to the snowy shores of Halifax Nova Scotia and has now secured the signature of the one and only (and throughly nice bloke) Crazy Frog....

It will get home to Aus (one day) but this was too good an opportunity to miss.

Sadly, due to inclement weather (the worst in the last 30 years) CF's side car and bikes remain frozen in their winter storage, but with temperatures now above freezing...it won't be long until he breaks them free.

This was great to meet one of the Irish Eccentrics. We had a great time (Even if we couldn't ride).
Here is what Paul spotted in the washroom of the restaurant where we had supper.
Now you have to admit that it's quite unusual but it seems that the K-Pox is affecting people in Halifax.

After few beers, we had a bit of fun....

The Irish eccentrics are tough people (just a T-shirt on the ice).......

Trying to knock sense into him with Cryotherapy CF??? It won't work, We've tried water boarding with Irish rain, That doesn't work either. He's a lost cause!

Great pictures and a lift to the Spirits, the Banner could not be complete without CF's signature. cheers

Apologies to anyone who might have thought the banner was 'gone elusive'....

I confess that some time back I received a PM when I logged on to find a 'New Mail Waiting' message...from TacKler that referred to our forthcoming trip to France. I missed a second one, sent at the same time, from GroverK enquiring as to the wellbeing of the Banner. I only found this one recently when my mailbox was full. My fault.

But, in the meantime Born Again Eccentric had mentioned he was travellingand would be meeting Crazy Frog which led tohissuggestion that he would bring the Banner tosurpriseCrazyFrog and get his signature on it too.

The Banner is safe and well minded, complete with the tube it arrived in and will be back here in the very near future unless CF and BAE decide to wait until the ice melts so they can try a different outfit.

It has a pretty good story to tell for us seeing the names of many Forum members on it who we will never meet but whose company we all enjoy.

It was a pleasure to add my moniker to it in Dublin last month.

We also have the more fixed version on RT's outdoor table at Robertson, NSW. That one's much less likely to make it to Ireland or Canada!

On RT's table means that the entries are engraved onto a 6ft+ wooden table, though I'm sure Bob would be happy to let you take it overseas if you come and collect it, and also return it in person. Very Happy

Those of us with an interest in steam trains might remember the Flying Scotsman 4472 went to Australia. And came back. Wood a table be a challenge?

For the table, you could use the same shipping method as what we used to return the banner to Australia.
Yesterday, we dropped it in the Halifax harbor (don't worry it's well sealed) and it should wash ashore in Australia within the next 6 months (if not sank by an iceberg)

if the iceberg floats it should reach Inge before Xmas.

Comberjohn could you arrange for it to go into the entrance to the Kiama blowhole? When it gets propelled into the air by the blowhole action, one of us will catch it and GroverK will be there to photograph the catch.

Ed, I'm sure the whole forum would agree with me that you should be extremely proud of yourself in regard to the Banner initiative. Even you probably didn't expect that it would develop a life of it's own when you first unrolled it for the members to scribble on.

Whether you like it or not "You're a Legend mate!"

Big thumb

(And also artistic director when you have kamera in hand)

Cheers

Embarassed thanks Gaz , but I learnt the art of piccy taking , whilst in the company of our esteemed Castle Hill VIP and mentor.
It has become a wonderful way of sharing our Komeraderie across the globe , and I feel very privileged to be a part of it with all here on this forum.

Latest news...

Favourable winds and strong ocean currents brought the banner safely back over the Atlantic to sunny England again,...wonder where it will appear next on it's slow passage home to the land down under?
