Right guys, quick question.

I have the later forks on my k100, type 2 in the below link

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=0501&mospid=51746&btnr=31_0357&hg=31&fg=42

Below the brace there is two bosses front and back on each leg approx 50mm below. Are these threaded?

I ask because the cap screws are siezed in the holes. These caps screws are quite long and have a nut on the opposite side holding the mudguard in place. I removed the nut and hoped maybe they might come free. Alas no chance. Before I drill them out I wanted to make sure these are threaded holes otherwise I might try and jack them out against each other. If they are threaded I won't since I'll likely damage something.

These have been a little annoyance for a while. Hopefully someone can tell me.

Cheers

WE shall just have to get one of the mods to move it.
Those bosses are not threaded but I have heard of them being so corroded as to break the bolt, a bit of heat can help but of course the legs need to be striped or use the ultimate penetrating oil (auto trans fluid and acetone in equal quantities) and soak it for 24 hours and try again.

Thanks Rick, I suspected they might be clearance holes but so hard to tell. As suggested ill soak with penetrating fluid, heat cycle a few times and then try and push them out from the wheel side with some thing improvised. Cheers
