Harley tried to make a sports bike and failed miserably and now BMW has tried their hand for a second time at a cruiser style and failed with both attempts.
Cobblers should stick to their lasts.
Called a bagger because its a bag a sh*t*

I personally think that it looks good. The bags a part of the bike and don't look like an addon sticking out as it is for the r1200 RT.
When BMW introduced the K bike, a lot of BMW people didn't like it because it was radically different than the old twins..... and we have this forum!
The only model that I still dislike is the 1200 CL. However once in a while I see a 1200 C and still like it. It was something very different than what other manufacturers proposed.
Thanks for the link.

Why did they put Japanese mirrors on it?  Rolling Eyes

You'd think they would've learned something from the R1200C.

Not that appealing to me. I think its made mainly for the US market where the whole "bagger" thing seems popular.

At least it doesnt have a 23" front wheel and airbags.

If any of you "negative nellies" win one in a competition, I'll take it of your hands.

I think it looks good.

There are worse looking bikes out there...

Luckily for BMW (as I give a shit about BMW..!) their potential customer base is unlikely to include anyone on here.

More likely Goldwing & Harley riders, looking for an alternative to their overweight 'Baggers' (I do hate that term)...

Me..? I won't ever be able to spend that much money on a bike... and if I could, it certainly wouldn't be a new BMW!

I wouldn't mind being lent one a test ride...for 100k miles maybe and then decide whether it is good, bad or ugly.

....that's only about £27 per valve...about as much as a family lawyer charges for 6 minutes "work". Everything is reasonable if you put it perspective against something even more unreasonable!

Don't suppose I will ever be that flush to be able to willingly part with that amount of dosh though.

I think it looks pretty good as well, a bit like the Victory bike I saw on hols two weeks ago.

Wouldn't buy one though, new bikes are too much money for someone who has the mechanical know-how to keep an old K on the road.

Late to the party but that thing looks like it weighs a ton.
It sort of reminds me of that weird Victory Vision which is somehow still in production.
None for me, thanks.
