I've been around bikes for thir(cough cough) years. Never a Beemer. First bike was almost a well used '70s BMW something or other, but I kicked and kicked but it wouldn't play nice. Owner's mom was no help and owner was out. He called later and said fuel valve was off... Hey, I was 14 with no experience... be gentle. Smile

Anyway, still getting to know the brick. She's cooperative, willing, and stable, but I just noticed an absence of matter where one would expect matter to be. Seems some type of retaining device should be making it's home here (see pic). She's a daily commuter, 50m round trip @ cruising between 75-80 mph/4200-4800ish rpm. No wobble, no symptoms at all. All input welcome asap as I have work in 12 hours and I'll have to get to rigging immediately if this is abnormal.

If you are refering to the hole through the axle then all is normal, it is there to insert a bar so it can be twisted out easily.
