wondering about some black paint that is on the pad area of some new ebc organic brake pads. is this normal for organic pads and does it pose any problems for gumming up the rotors or anything else? the back of the pads and sides appear to be painted black and theres is just a little bit of paint on the pad area but it seems like there should not be any paint on the pad area to me . i just bought new rotors so i'm more concerned than if they were old rotors.

Overspray?

I'd just lightly sand it off and use them.

ok thanks, i'll prob use them then.  i wish they could put a statement on the package to avoid any confusion.  decided to go with the organic ones as it sounds like they are less likely to cause rotor damage and do not remember any paint etc on the pads i have bought from them before, non organic.
