Had a pleasant meet-up with Tom Grabau on Sunday. Cheating because I travelled on 4 wheels, not 2.
Great hospitality, and a look at the Yellow Beast of legend that I'd not seen before.

Next time I'm up, perhaps I'll be on 2 wheels, and have time to catch up with some more of the Hunter Krew.

That's the great thing about this forum, you make great friends who are glad to see you on or off the bike!

What else can you expect from this great bunch of people on this forum?
It's always nice to put a face on a name or on an avatar.
The bike is our common interest, but it's a mean of making new friend with other interests.
One of the major reason why I went back to biking after a 15 years break was that I missed the social interaction with other bikers. Engaging a conversation with a stranger is always easier if you ride the same bike. After it's yours to discover if other interest will help you to develop a friendship.

Tom's always good for a catch-up. He's made his workshop available a coupla times now on the odd visit while I've been down that way. Thanks mate!

Had another pleasant cheating 4 wheel visit today. Met TacKler at the Australian War Memorial - he on his way to the snow, me on my way home from Hard Labour helping my son move house. Son was most inconsiderate, moving from a house with lots of stairs to another place with lots of stairs!

I hadn't met TacKler before, but found another kindred spirit, talking of military history, visiting France and visiting Ireland. In one way, my Irish experience was better than his - I had fine weather, he had rain. We both experienced the same warm welcome, though. 

Hope to catch up with him again before too long.
