Hi, last few month my timing chain became noisier (K 100 8 V). My mechanic told me that he use to bent the top of the tensioner blade upward a bit and after that became quieter. Did anyone tried that?

I've never tried it, but on principle I'd be reluctant.

While it might work in terms of quietening it down, it's masking a worn guide and/or chain, which could then cause significant issues if it goes belly-up.
