This is a very nice bike and has been looked after. It has a Sargent seat, staintune exhaust, ABS, electronic cruise control. Fast, smooth - everything you could want in a sports tourer. Why am I selling it? Well I damaged my right hip in a minesite accident about 25 years ago. I'm good for about 30 minutes on the K1200RS before discomfort sets in, which is a shame as I really like the way that it goes.

There are a couple of small blemishes in the paintwork which were fixed up by the previous owner, but otherwise it is very tidy.

Good luck with the sale. Some lucky bum will get to place their's on that sweet Sargent seat!

I'm a big fan of the K12. I see that the rider's pegs are in the 'normal' position. I recommend a footpeg lowering kit from Hornig, Verholen, Suburban Machinery, or even Ilium Works. That modification makes the K1200RS feel like a K1200GT, even better.

I thought about the peg lowering kits, but they would have to lower it a fair way to suit me and then I'd lose cornering clearance, plus I'd have to move the bars back as well. In the end I'm probably better off with a different bike, one that fits me better. I've also tried a cruiser style bike in the past. No go with them either. Oh well, back to the drawing board Smile My K100RT is no longer for sale. At least its comfortable for me.

I saw that and what a good price for the lucky buyer. I would take it but have not been able to ride the RS style since I injured my back. Even putting flat bars on my Kawasaki caused me considerable grief.

One of the joys of "gaining experience" Rick.
