I'm a decent wrench and enjoy taking care of my machine, but like us all, I run into those little problems that turn a one or two hour maintenance deal into a whole afternoon with expletives flying in every direction. The one I speak of now is how to change my front fork oil on my K-75 standard. I have no fairings to deal with, but the BMW curved WS and it's mounting hardware, along with the Motometer mounting stuff, and it becomes a little bit of a hassle anyway to get to the fork tops. I can easily remove the rubber or plastic caps, but then I bog down on getting the refill plug undone so I can refill the fork once I've drained it ?? Does anybody know what I'm speaking of here, and can maybe give me a tip or two on how to get past this annoyance ?? All help will be much appreciated....BJ... (brickjockey)

I use a 100ml syringe to measure and inject the oil using a small piece of plastic tubing on the syringe.
Getting the plug out, you only need to get the allen head bolt out by holding the cap by the flat sides. I have seen the fork tubes set down into the clamp and if that is the case they will need to be released and moved up to get at the flat sides of the plug. Unfortunately sometimes you need to remove some components to get at it.
