I also love bikes.  Always have.  I grew up on mini bikes, then dirt bikes then a brand new out of the crate Honda VF500F in '86.  I put lots of time into that bike.  I sold it with 60K miles on it and miss it.

I build plastic kits along with other model building hobbies that I enjoy and came across the restoration of a K100 that had a lot of pictures that I have been wanting for my Tamiya 1/12 scale K100 kit.  I love the bike and remember the first time I saw one long ago.

A 900SS kit is also on the shelf next to it.  Right now I have dug out a kit I had started but never completed as I had no luck with the clear coat over my paint and it got shelved.  Its the Paris-Dakar R80 GS winner.  Waiting for new decals for it for it is going to be scuffed down and repainted.

The Honda NSR250 was my last build.  15 years ago.  I just took out my first kit to work on after all that time to think about it and it will be the K100 and I am excited about it.

Welcome, gluefinger.

I also have one of those kits, but so far spend my bike time on the real ones. Looking forward to putting it together, though.

Lots of knowledge here, but I'm not sure how you'll go getting more speed and smoother running on the Tamiya K100. Razz  Wink

Welcome to the forum. Using a name like that could end up sticking.
I also have one of the Tamiya K100 Models but have been searching for a Kawasaki 1/6 Z1300 A1 for some time but cant find one for anything close to a reasonable price.

Model Builder Looking For Clues 177912 Last time I looked for a K100 Tamiya kit they were well beyond the price I was willing to pay. Having seen your box, I'm starting to reassess that decision!

Mine cost $A50 on eBay. Compared to comparable currently available models, not too bad.

Necropost.... got one unopened today for £25. Not too shabby and a lot cheaper than some I'd seen.

I have asked the price but like always with the Z1300 I will probably have to sell my first born, just as well he is a waste of space. Laughing

You'll find his prices very good. I've been dealing with him for over 20 years.
