Hey all, brought a 1985 K100RS at the start of the year to rebuild and tinker with. It ran perfectly but looked like death. It was an ex cop bike so it had a few fix ups. Im still in the process of putting it back together after chopping a few bits off and lightening the load. I also have a 1988 K100 RS with ABS that i brought a few months back and I'm leaving it stock and maybe putting a sidecar on it after i give it a good service and tune (hard start and runs rough until you get up in revs)

I look forward to learning more

Cheers Jared

Welcome to the forum. Unusual to have a RS as a cop bike. It may have started life as a RT and changes came with previous owners. You have a few K whizzes up in your neck of the woods and they will be glad to help.

WelKome!

I too have an '85 RS that has had the fairings removed - but I am about to have the C fairing painted (with everything else including new side panels) and mounted.

hey brad, show us a pic

If you go to THIS thread, you'll be able to follow the instructions to find details. Enter the first 7 digits of your VIN on the site. (Later VINs starting with WB1, enter the last 7 digits.)

You will also find out about single malt Scotch on the thread.

WelKome.

Bill
