So I got my cutting to problem solved a week or so ago and it was water in the fuel which was being recirculated with the fuel causing bike to stall when slowing down.
Had an issue with bike not idling but this has almost gone now after driving 120 miles this week. I believe a lot of crap has been run through the engine and when I came back I changed the oil and filter to get rid of any contamination that had gathered in the 6 year lay up .
Pleased to say its a 24 year old bike that a few rattles and knocks but when its out on the road its a lovely bike to ride. I took a scenic route around the Donegal peninsula in Ireland where I live and the bike handled really well considering the weight of it. The roads are twisting and have many steep climbs and stunning coastal descents. I have to say I absolutely loved the trip and was well pleased that i didn't end up in a field on some of the tight corners. Its a hell of a bike for its age. Probably will need some more TLC but sure don't we all.

Many thanks to all of you who helped with advice to get the bike sorted .

She's a lovely beast in that dark grey paint.  So glad to hear the problems are being sorted and you're coming around to appreciating this fine machine.
