Hi all, especially those with an outfit. I have a K10016v powered outfit which had the original front end fitted when I bought it. I took the plunge some time ago and ordered a Leading Link fork from Wasp in the UK. When it finally arrived, it certainly looked the goods, however, they sent axle spacers for a K100 with an 18 inch front wheel. Mine has the 17 inch wheel, which I took great pains to make sure they knew about.
My question is; should I wait for them to send me the correct spacers and anything else that they should have supplied, or would the 18 inch wheel be just as good, so I should just bung it in and get on with it?
P.S. The RS-16v 4 piston calipers seem to line up ok with the discs on the 18 inch wheel as well.
Many thanks, Dave.

If you have an 18 I'd use it, the 17 will give you sllghtly lighter steering but not much in it.

If you wish, you can get a sidecar tyre with a flat tread for an 18", nothing available for a 17"  Heidenau K-27 4.00-18

One effect to consider, there's a fair difference in radius between the 17 and the 18. Without altering any sidecar geometry, the extra height over the 17 will reduce leanout as it lifts the front of the bike. As long as you have plenty adjustability you can sort it.

I need to be careful with any height changes on mine as I'm on the limit of my adjustment, can't remove any more leanout to correct it.
