Is the K1100LT any better than the K100RT in summer?
One reason I sold my K100RT was that it was just too hot for summer riding. Excellent for winter though.

They are a bit better but only with the OEM LT side covers which direct the hot engine air away from your legs. If as some ex police bikes had the K100 type side covers they were not much better if at all.

Yes Charlie, all that needs to be done is to remove the bottom half of the fairing.

bit more than that stan

under fairing at front scoop to keep positive pressure flowing through behind the fairing , rather than a huge vacuum catch area to trap the heat of the motor being sucked up into the fairing  area

fuel cooler to keep the tank at atmosphere temps  rather than escalating to 50 + deg c

and a few other things in there as well
