Hey guys,

Ok hoping someone can help me, I have an early '84 K100 RS and need 8mm wide tyre valves. The ones I ordered from BMW have a thread length of only 20mm which only leaves about 8mm poking out for air to go in. The one that came off was 30mm but I want a new pair with new rubber o rings.

Is it ok to use a 20mm or should I continue to hunt down a 30mm? BMW Motorworks only keep the 20mm thread. Were the wheels changed slightly around my year?

Ant tyre places will have what you want don't need genuine stuff for that.

You cant just buy these off the shelf from any tyre place, they are 8mm wide and need a 30mm thread. If you mean a normal car tyre valve it won't even go through the hole......
