Greetings to all on the forum, from Nova Scotia, Canada.

After having restored, rebuilt, rescued, resucitated 13 boxers over the years, I have acquired my first K bike--a 1991 K75, naked. It was an RT, but after a date with the pavement, a PO stripped off the fairing, but on what appears to be an RS instrument cluster, but it runs very smoothly and there is no frame/engine damage. I'm very excited about getting to know the bike, getting it back in order, and, of course riding it. I loved it when I rode it home.

No RHS--fixed that (checked absolutely everything--no joy, and was finally reconciled to a new relay--when as a last resort I applied lots of contact cleaner to the cancellation switch and worked it back and forth). Bingo! RHS now works. No speedo. Have checked just about everything for continuity-contact (RH connector, three pin do-dad in the cluster, sensor tickle with the soldering iron doesn't make the speedo needle move, etc.. So I'll be exploring further solutions here.

Looking forward to the activity here. Best to all.

WelKome!  You have now been lured to The DarK Side. You may as well surrender. There is no hope for you now.

Another member from Nova Scotia eh? Nice part of the world (except for snow and ice for too many months of the year) and you have a rather knowledgeable and distinguished Crazy Frog in your neighbourhood too. I have good memories of my trip to that part of the world.

RHS? That's the side of the road you drive on isn't it? Glad you fixed it - otherwise you'd have to ride on the left (like other parts of the civilised world), which isn't a bad thing, but a little awkward for overtaking if the righthand side of the road isn't there!

Good luck with fixing the problems and getting to know your first K. It'll be worth it.
Enjoy

Thanks for the welcome, BAE, and for the tip about Crazy Frog. Speaking of your RHS, I've never driven a bike in the UK or Ireland, though often tempted. That R/L switch would be a challenge, especially on some of the country roads I've driven down over the past decades (the much-visited "outlaws" live in Belfast). Best.

WelKome from the far corners of the world, considering it's round seems to have quite a few corners but then again the more corners the better
