Hi one and all.

I'm not actually a newbee but it has been a few years since i was last here (2011 i think), so hi everyone!

As is life sometimes - things get in your way and distractions occur and cars seem comfy but i am over that a bit now and looking to get the old girl sorted and then off touring france.

Hope you guys are still living the dream.

Cheers all

IAN

Welkome back! For those like me who have arrived since you were last here - that fairing in your avatar looks interesting. Do tell.

Cheers

Hi folks,

Thanks for the welcome back - I'm pleased to see the forum is still very global, a very small world we live in thanks to the web;

Regarding the fairing; I was told it came with the bike when original and that it is a rickman fairing. the glove boxes either side have BMW properly moulded / embossed in the plastic lids and the paintwork matches the rest of the bike, faded slightly different as is GRP and tank is aluminium. but it weighs a fair bit and comes off as one whole unit - it has withstood the odd drop and for 34 years old still feels quite robust, also great at keeping the wet stuff away, not that you aussie guys know about rain I'm sure.

Glad to see the forum is still going strong, catch you later folks

When last home in SE Queensland we had a slight drizzle of +300mm in under 24 hours. That occurs once or twice a year. Nuh, not much wet there.  Smile

Welcome back. There are a few members who come and go over time and it's always good to see them return.

I certainly understand the coming and going bit.  In a moment of weakness, I sold my K-bike, after investing so much time and $ into putting her back on the road.  I've another now and it feels good to be back in the fold.   cheers

Pretty much. I still have the high water mark all through the workshop.
