Evening all, a 'prospective' K100 owner here. I currently ride a BMW S1000XR but I'm planning on adding an 8 valve K100RS to the garage at some point too. I'm here to learn a bit more about them, their foibles and what to look out for when buying. I've wanted to make a cafe racer for a long time and I've always loved the bricks, so that's my plan Very Happy

So I've taken the plunge and bought a 1986 K100 RS! Partially stripped by the last owner, but all parts present - going to do a full strip down and rebuild.

I've done the same...Just got a red '86 K100RS... It should arrive in Malta tomorrow... So will take it home Thursday or Friday. Can't wait.... Like you, don't know what to expect. Bought a Haynes manual which will help me understand the bike better. So congrats on your purchase... I hope you get many, many pleasureful miles out of it.
