Hello to everybody,

Asking this question for a friend - he heard how clutch plates from small Fiat 126 cars and R1150 models are interchangeable, so he would like to know is there one for his K100RS from some car too?

Cheers
Tarik from Sarajevo

Apparently one of the air-cooled beetle clutches may fit but I believe it has thicker friction surfaces.
Regards Martin.

I recently heard a conversation around a campfire that suggested a Ford Escort clutch was a close fit for a K100 with a small amount of machining.

No detail of course as we were already well into our second bottle of wine.

Cheers

Somewhere someone in here tried to do the VW clutch swap and found they are not the same. They may have been some time ago but todays clutch plates didn't match enough for the swap to go ahead. Somewhere in the archives is a story worth reading. I seen it maybe 5 or 6 year ago.

How different are K75 and K100 clutch plates? K75 can be found significantly cheaper at the eBay
